A clay bar is used over the surface of the vehicle to remove any bonded contaminants that washing couldn't eliminate, such as tar, sap, or industrial fallout. This step is crucial for achieving a smooth surface. If necessary, polishing is done to remove any surface defects like swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation. This step is important for achieving a flawless finish before the coating application. The extent of polishing required depends on the condition of the vehicle's paint. Finally, a chemical cleaner or a paint prep solution may be applied to remove any oils, waxes, or sealants left on the surface, ensuring that the ceramic coating can bond properly to the paint. Then the vehicle is inspected once more to ensure that all surfaces are clean and free from defects. Any remaining dust or particles are removed with a microfiber cloth or compressed air.

Once the vehicle is clean and prepared, the ceramic coating can be applied. This is done in a controlled environment to prevent dust or debris from settling on the surfaces during the application process. After application, the coating will need time to cure. The cure time is typically about 24 hours. During this time, the vehicle should be kept in a dry, indoor place away from direct sunlight and contaminants. After curing, one final inspection is completed to make sure the vehicle's coating has cured correctly to the paint. At this point, the vehicle will be glossy and protected.
